Who We AreAn Infinite Mind Board of Directors
Melissa is an avid learner and lover of diversity and culture. She is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (TN) and a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (FL). She provides case management and psychotherapeutic services to women veterans and their families in the Central Florida community. She has past experience working with grief and loss, college students, and child abuse and neglect. Melissa has also taught college-level courses related to cultural diversity and ethics. Her professional interests include women's rights and issues, minority-related research, and trauma/abuse resolution. She identifies as a thriving survivor who continuously empowers others to break the silence and to begin their healing journeys. Melissa calls herself an egalitarian feminist who seeks to educate society about issues impacting women while inviting men to increase awareness about sexual abuse, molestation, rape, incest, and its aftermath. She is honored to serve on the board of An Infinite Mind as she values its mission in educating others about DID, shattering its myths, and giving a voice to its survivors.
